Tell Congress: Is there any good reason we are even thinking about cutting benefits instead of raising them? We should be increasing Social Security benefits not cutting them.
The average Social Security Benefit is $1224 a month. Almost half of all the elderly only have Social Security to live on. EVEN NOW, it is for millions a decision between food, heat or medicine. There will be more people in the future who will ONLY have Social Security.
The discussed “grand bargain” pushed by Republicans is taking food out of the mouths of the elderly in exchange for the lint in the pockets of millionaires and billionaires.
Cutting benefits is cruel and inhumane. Sign your name below to join Debra Cooper and make your voice heard to increase, not decrease, Social Security Benefits.
